Acme Nissan

After several attempts by other companies to patch and repair the leaks, Acme Nissan hired Joseph David Roofing for a new solution. We applied a complete re-cover system to address all potential leaks while keeping costs down. The scope of work consisted of a layer of 3/8" EPS roof insulation. Over the insulation, we installed a new Mule-Hide 60 mil TPO white membrane roof system complete with necessary flashings. Acme Nissan has been leak-free since the work was finished.

Miele Building (Princeton, NJ)

This roof on the Miele building in Princeton had been having major leaking problems for years, so we made a series of roof repairs over the field and along the wall flashings using Tremco roofing products. We also removed all the existing sealant from the coping stone and resealed using Solar Seal 900 and then applied two coats of Andek Polaseal MA concrete sealer. Since the job was completed, there has been several torrential rains but not a single leak!

The Goddard School (West Windsor, NJ)

The Goddard School had an issue with several leaks in the roof, so we proposed a system that included installing a layout of 1” of Polyisocyanurate rigid foam installation and a new 60-mil Mule Hide TPO White Thermoplastic membrane roof system. The completed project provided The Goddard School with a new watertight 15 year warranty membrane roof system and a more thermally efficient building. Cost advantages are realized through energy savings; thermal efficiency optimizes the benefits of solar gain, reducing the need for heating fuel while also significantly decreasing the energy used for cooling.

Store Fronts ( Union, NJ )

This roof had suffered some wind damage to the front of the building. The owner figured it was time to replace the whole roof. We first removed the old style leaking skylights. Removed all the rippled roofing from the wind damage. Installed a layer of 1" PolyIso. roof insulation. Installed a new 060 EPDM rubber membrane roof system fully adhered. Complete with new flashing's and sheet metal work.

Blindworks (Westfield, NJ)

Removed the existing layers of roofing.  Repaired all the bad wood with new 3/4" CDX plywood.  Installed a layer of 1" Polyiso roof insulation (R-value 6.00) Installed a new Mule Hide 060 fully adhered TPO thermoplastic membrane roof system complete with all new flashings and sheet metal.

Edison Mechanical Contractors (South Plainfield, NJ)

Edison Mechanical of South Plainfield was going to have solar panels installed on there building. We were hired by them to replace the roof before the solar panels were installed. We first installed a layer of 1" Polyisocyanurate roof insulation (R-value 6.00). Over the insulation we installed a new 060 TPO white thermoplastic membrane roof system, complete with all the necessary flashing and metal trim.

The American Legion (Linden)

We removed several layers of roofing down to the wood decking. Installed a layer of 1" Polyisocyanurate roofing insulation. Tapered insulation crickets between roof scuppers. Installed a new Mule Hide 060 fully adhered EPDM rubber membrane roof system, complete with all the necessary flashings.

Linden Roselle Sewerage Authority

The sewerage authority had a storm blow off the existing metal roofing over a freestanding structure that houses critical generators. We were hired to clean up the roof, and install a new Fabral corrugated metal roof system.

St. George Avenue Store Fronts Linden, NJ

This flat roof was in very poor shape, and had been leaking all over. We installed a layer of 1" Polyisocyanurate roof insulation and a fully adhered Mule Hide brand 060 TPO white membrane roof system complete with new roof drains and all the necessary flashing work.

Elizabeth Linden Elks Lodge

The lodge was having bad leaks over the flat roof sections and along the front parapet wall.  Because the stucco was falling off the wall it was letting water get behind the roofing.  We removed all the stucco from the block wall.  We anchored wood to this cinder block wall to create a smooth surface.  Installed a new 060 White TPO membrane roof system complete with all the necessary flashings.  We also replaced the gutters and leaders.

Hilman Incorporated Roof Replacement ( Warehouse roof, Approx. 65,000 sq. ft. )

We were hired to replace the leaky warehouse roof. The challenge with this roof was that we were replacing a corrugated metal roof system with a conventional membrane roof system. We first installed a layer of 1.5" Extruded Polystyrene insulation between the ribs of the metal roof. We then installed a layer of 1" rigid Polyisocyanurate roof insulation mechanically fastened. Over the insulation we installed a new Mule-Hide 0.45 TPO white membrane roof system fully adhered. Between the two layers of insulation and the new white membrane roof system, the customer has a building that not only is water tight but cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. We presented the owners with a 15 year manufactures warranty for labor and materials.

Linden Presbyterian Church ( Roof replacement over sanctuary & side entrance )

We were hired to replace a leaky roof over the sanctuary.  The existing shingles were well over 25 years and in very bad shape.  We removed the existing layers of roofing down to the wood decking.  Inspected and replaced all bad wood with new.  Installed a new GAF/ELK Timberline asphalt shingle roof system complete.

Clark Township Fire Department ( Garage Roof Replacement )

We were hired by the township to replace the leaky garage roof. We first removed all the old existing skylights. Framed out the skylight openings and covered with new plywood. Removed the existing layers of roofing and wet insulation down to the wood deck. Installed a layer of 1.5" Polyisocyanurate foam core roof insulation (R-value 9.0). Installed tapered insulation to form drainage crickets between the drains. Over the insulation we installed a new 060 fully adhered EPDM rubber membrane roof system complete. In the end the township received a more thermally efficient roof system, that comes with a 15 year warranty. And probably the most important thing to them a dry building..

Scotch Plains contemporary residence with flat/low slope roofs.

Customer had active leaks. After removing a layer of timberline shingles and a layer of torch down we repaired wood damage and installed a layer of 1 ½” Polyisocyanurate roof insulation (R-value 9.0), then installed an 80 mil PVC Membrane roof system, fully adhered. The combination of the insulation and white membrane will result in substantial energy savings to the homeowner – as well as being environmentally friendly.

Majestic Bowling Alley, Woodbridge, NJ – Energy Efficient Installation

We were called in to stop leaks at several locations and upon inspection recommended a new roof system. At the owner’s request of an aesthetically pleasing and energy efficient roof, we installed a Carlisle 060 TPO Membrane Roof System.

Carteret, NJ - Roof repairs - We stripped in seams on the existing roof system over a 20' x 20' area. We then applied two coats of Tremco Fluid Applied Acrylic Coating .

Roselle Park, NJ - Replaced Front Mansard Roof - Removed existing asphalt shingle roof. Installed a new una-clad standing seam metal roof.

Elizabeth, NJ - Roof Replacement - We removed the existing roof & installed a new Carlisle EPDM membrane roof system. The challenge on this project was to lift the large chillers and build new curb supports all while not disconnecting units and allowing the customer to remain open.

Elizabeth, NJ - New Roof on Addition - Installed a new Carlisle 045 TPO Membrane Roof System over 20 Yr. EPDM. The TPO roof was a nice lightweight, affordable solution and came with a 15 year warranty.

Middlebush Reformed Church ( Somerset, New Jersey )

We were contracted to replace the flat roof over the church office & day care rooms. The existing roof was an old dried out built-up tar roof system that had been patched alot and no longer keeping the water out. One of the problems beside the roof failing was that the old flashing's on the parapet wall were to low and the balance of the wall was exposed brick with alot of the mortar joints falling apart. We installed a layer of 1" Polyisocyanurate roof insulation and a new 60mil TPO white membrane roof system. The walls were wrapped in full.
