For those of you in Concordia, New Jersey is promoting a program for energy-efficient building called, “New Jersey Smart Start Buildings.” This program provides incentives for building or upgrading with energy efficient materials. It is part of the New Jersey Clean Energy Program and is worth taking a look at if you are remodeling or renovating.
You should check the program out, especially if you are a commercial business because you may have some financial reimbursement opportunities there. There is some information on their website regarding special projects involving Hurricane Sandy.
“Financial incentives are available for large and small projects. These incentives offset some — or maybe even all! — of the added cost to purchase qualifying energy-efficient equipment, which provides significant long-term energy savings. Ranges of incentives are available for qualifying equipment (depending on type, size, and efficiency) in several categories. “**
